Turbovas F Tablet 10

Turbovas-F Tablet is used to manage the following health conditions.

Uses of Turbovas-F Tablet 10 are:

• High Cholesterol: Manages high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.
• Mixed Dyslipidaemia: Treats mixed dyslipidaemia, characterised by increased bad cholesterol and triglycerides.

To take Turbovas-F Tablet correctly, follow these steps:

• Strictly follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor for this medication.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without your doctor's approval.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing this medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Turbovas-F Tablet is taken orally.

Turbovas-F Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This component activates a protein in your body called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα). This action leads to a decrease in the production of triglycerides (a type of fat) and an increase in the breakdown of fat-rich particles. The result is a reduction in overall triglyceride levels.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by blocking an enzyme named HMG-CoA reductase, which is involved in making cholesterol in your body. By inhibiting this enzyme, rosuvastatin lowers bad cholesterol levels. Additionally, it increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, enhancing the uptake and catabolism of LDL particles. It also reduces the synthesis of VLDL (a type of bad cholesterol), thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles circulating in the blood.

• Store your Turbovas-F Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Avoid storing the medicine near heat sources like radiators or stoves.

• Always keep the Turbovas-F Tablet out of the reach of children.

• Use it before the expiry date mentioned on the product packaging.

• To manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, reduce your intake of saturated fats and trans fats, found in fatty meats and fried foods. Opt for lean meats, fruits, vegetables and whole grains instead.

• Regular physical activity can also help manage your cholesterol levels. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or cycling, most days of the week.
