Turbovas-F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It combines atorvastatin, a statin, with fenofibrate, a fibrate, and helps reduce the risk of heart disease.
Atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver needed to make cholesterol, lowering harmful LDL cholesterol, while fenofibrate primarily lowers triglycerides and can raise protective HDL cholesterol, together helping decrease the amount of fatty deposits that may build up on artery walls.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if your cholesterol levels improve, since ongoing treatment is usually needed for lasting benefit.
Tell your doctor if you notice unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, as the combination of a statin and a fibrate increases the risk of a serious muscle problem needing urgent review. This medicine is not suitable in pregnancy, and your doctor may check your liver function periodically during treatment.
