Topaheal 100 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy in adults and children aged 2 years and older, including partial onset seizures, generalised tonic-clonic seizures and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. It is also used to prevent migraine headaches in adults.
It contains topiramate (100 mg), an anti-epileptic medicine. Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same times each day, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can trigger seizures.
Drinking enough fluids throughout the day is important, as topiramate can increase the risk of kidney stones. A regular routine with good sleep and taking doses on time support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney stones, glaucoma or liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take, including hormonal contraceptives (effectiveness may be reduced). Report new or worsening eye pain, confusion, mood changes or difficulty with memory.
