Timitrol Eye Drops 5ml are used to lower raised pressure within the eye in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, helping to protect the optic nerve and preserve vision.

Uses of Timitrol Eye Drops 5ml are:

Follow these instructions while using Timitrol Eye Drops 5ml:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the bottle with the tip pointing downwards and squeeze a drop in the affected eye(s).

• Close your eye and press gently on the tear duct for 1-2 minutes.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye medicines.

• Replace the cap tightly after use.

Timitrol Eye Drops 5ml contain two active ingredients:

• Timolol (0.5%): This component is a beta-blocker that works by blocking beta receptors in the ciliary body of your eye. This action reduces the production of aqueous humour (the clear fluid inside your eye), which helps lower the pressure within your eye.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This ingredient serves as an antimicrobial preservative in the eye drop solution. It helps maintain the sterility of the medicine by preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms that could contaminate the eye drops.

• Store Timitrol Eye Drops 5ml at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening to prevent contamination.

• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the label.

• Manage your eye pressure by staying physically active through regular moderate exercise like walking or swimming, which can help reduce intraocular pressure (pressure inside your eyes).
