Glunil Eye Drops 5ml are used for the following:

• Treatment of ocular hypertension

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Reducing elevated pressure inside the eye

• Prevention of vision loss from high eye pressure

• Controlling intraocular pressure when other medicines fail

• Supporting eye health in glaucoma patients

• Lowering eye pressure after unsuccessful laser treatment

• Complementing other anti-glaucoma medicines

Follow these instructions while using Glunil Eye Drops 5ml:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the bottle with the tip pointing downwards and squeeze a drop in the affected eye(s).

• Close your eye and press gently on the tear duct for 1-2 minutes.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye medicines.

• Replace the cap tightly after use.

Glunil Eye Drops 5ml are instilled topically.

Glunil Eye Drops 5ml contain two active ingredients:

• Timolol (0.5%): This component is a beta-blocker that works by blocking beta receptors in the ciliary body of your eye. This action reduces the production of aqueous humour (the clear fluid inside your eye), which helps lower the pressure within your eye.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This ingredient serves as an antimicrobial preservative in the eye drop solution. It helps maintain the sterility of the medicine by preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms that could contaminate the eye drops.

• Store Glunil Eye Drops 5ml at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Discard the bottle 4 weeks after opening to prevent contamination.

• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the label.

• Manage your eye pressure by staying physically active through regular moderate exercise like walking or swimming, which can help reduce intraocular pressure (pressure inside your eyes).

• Consider limiting caffeine intake from coffee, tea, and fizzy drinks, as some studies suggest excessive caffeine might temporarily increase eye pressure in people with glaucoma.
