CompositionTelpres 20 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and to protect the heart and blood vessels. Effective blood pressure control reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack, and long-term kidney damage. It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Take it as prescribed with or without food, at a fixed time each day. Continue taking it regularly even when you feel well, as high blood pressure typically has no symptoms. Do not stop taking the tablet without consulting your doctor. Adopting a balanced low-sodium diet, exercising regularly, keeping to a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol intake support optimal blood pressure control. Before starting, inform your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or heart conditions. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor may check your kidney function and blood potassium levels at regular intervals.
