Telmisat Ct 40 Tablet 10 is used to control high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and to help protect the heart and kidneys. Keeping blood pressure controlled lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems.
It combines an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), which relaxes the blood vessels, and a thiazide-like diuretic (the "CT"), which helps the body remove excess salt and water. Take it daily as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, gout or diabetes before starting, and about other medicines you take. Avoid this medicine in pregnancy. Regular blood tests check your kidneys and body salts. Report marked dizziness, fainting or muscle cramps.
