It contains cefpodoxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping bacteria building their protective cell wall, which kills them.
Take it as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve early. It does not work against colds or flu.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems or allergy to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics before use. Seek help for swelling of the face or throat or difficulty breathing.
