Swich 200 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in adults, including infections of the ear, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and is also used to manage typhoid fever.

Uses of Swich 200 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the throat, lungs and ears.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Clears bacterial infections affecting the urinary system.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the skin and underlying tissue.
• Typhoid Fever: Helps eliminate the bacteria causing typhoid fever.

• Swallow Swich 200 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change the tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Swich 200 Tablet should be taken orally.

Swich 200 Tablet contains the following component:

• Cefpodoxime proxetil (200 mg): It is an antibiotic belonging to the cephalosporin class. It inhibits the growth of bacteria. It does this by interfering with bacterial cell wall formation, which is essential for their survival. Targeting the cell wall effectively kills or inhibits the growth of bacteria, helping to treat infections.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from moisture.
• Keep Swich 200 Tablet away from children.

• Avoid irritants like smoking, alcohol, and spicy foods that may further irritate the throat.
• Urinate frequently and empty your bladder to prevent bacterial growth.
• Practice safe sex to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
• Quit smoking and avoid secondhand smoke exposure, as it can worsen respiratory symptoms.
• Avoid sexual activity until the bacterial infection is treated and cleared to prevent further transmission.
