• Swich 200 Tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections, including infections of the ear, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues. It is also effective against certain sexually transmitted infections and typhoid fever, helping to eliminate harmful bacteria and prevent the spread of infection.
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs): It is effective in managing UTIs, which occur when bacteria enter the urinary system and cause symptoms like frequent urination and burning.
• Respiratory tract infections: This medicine helps manage infections like pneumonia or bronchitis, which can lead to coughing, chest pain, and difficulty breathing.
• Gastrointestinal tract infections: Swich 200 Tablet can be used against bacterial infections that cause issues like diarrhoea or abdominal pain.
• Pneumonia: A lung infection that causes fever, coughing, and difficulty breathing.
• Gonococcal infection: A sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria.
• Sinusitis: Inflammation of the sinuses, leading to facial pain and congestion.
• Bronchitis: Infection of the airways, causing coughing and difficulty breathing.

• Swallow Swich 200 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change the tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Swich 200 Tablet should be taken orally.

Swich 200 Tablet contains the following component:

• Cefpodoxime proxetil (200 mg): It is an antibiotic belonging to the cephalosporin class. It inhibits the growth of bacteria. It does this by interfering with bacterial cell wall formation, which is essential for their survival. Targeting the cell wall effectively kills or inhibits the growth of bacteria, helping to treat infections.

• Urinate frequently and empty your bladder to prevent bacterial growth.

• Quit smoking and avoid secondhand smoke exposure, as it can worsen respiratory symptoms.
• Avoid sexual activity until the bacterial infection is treated and cleared to prevent further transmission.
