CompositionSorbitrate 10 Tablet is used to prevent and manage episodes of angina (chest pain) caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle. It is a single-ingredient nitrate containing isosorbide dinitrate.
It helps reduce how often and how severely chest pain occurs and supports better exercise capacity. Take it on an empty stomach with a full glass of water in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Follow your schedule closely, including any nitrate-free interval, so the medicine keeps working, and do not stop it suddenly.
Follow a low-salt, heart-healthy diet with fewer pickles, papad and fried foods, take light exercise as your doctor approves, manage stress and avoid tobacco.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have severe anaemia, low blood pressure or heart failure, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Never take it with medicines for erectile dysfunction such as sildenafil, as the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
