Silybon Suspension 100ml

Silybon Suspension is used, as advised by a doctor, to help protect and support liver function in conditions such as cirrhosis and alcoholic hepatitis, and to ease symptoms of indigestion and an upset stomach.

Uses of Silybon Suspension are:

• Liver Protection: Helps prevent liver damage caused by conditions such as cirrhosis and alcoholic hepatitis.
• Liver Support During Chemotherapy: Supports liver regeneration after damage caused by chemotherapy.
• Digestive Relief: Provides symptomatic relief from indigestion and an upset stomach.

• Read the instructions on the bottle before use.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Use the measuring cap provided with the bottle to measure the dose required to be administered.
• Swallow the medicine slowly and rinse your mouth with a sip of water if necessary.
• Close the cap tightly after use to avoid accidental spilling.
• Wash the measuring cap after and before every use.

• Silybon suspension should be taken orally.

The medicine activity of Silymarin (35 mg) is seen in the following ways:

• Antioxidant effect- which reduces the damage from free radicals and regulates the content of glutathione, an important protective molecule against reactive oxygen species.
• Cell membrane stabilisation- which helps to block toxic substances from entering the liver cells and causing damage.
• Liver regeneration- promoting RNA synthesis helps in the regeneration of damaged liver cells.
• Prevention of the development of fibrosis in the liver- which helps to prevent the decrease in liver function which can occur due to liver fibrosis.

• Store Silybon suspension below 25-30 ºC. 
• Protect it from light and moisture. 
• Keep it away from the reach of children. 
• Do not use the medication once the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid taking medicines like Paracetamol or painkillers in excess if you have been diagnosed with liver disease or liver damage as these medicines can cause further damage to the liver.
• Avoid alcohol consumption.
• Get your liver function test done routinely on the advice of your doctor to monitor liver enzyme levels.
