Silofast D 4 Tablet 10

Silofast D 4 Tablet 10 is used to manage urinary symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in adult men.

Uses of Silofast D 4 Tablet 10 are:

• Enlarged Prostate Symptoms: Helps manage difficulty initiating urination and a weak urine stream associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
• Frequent or Urgent Urination: Helps reduce the frequent or urgent need to urinate, especially at night, as well as straining and dribbling.
• Incomplete Bladder Emptying: Helps reduce the feeling that the bladder has not been completely emptied after urination.

Follow these instructions while taking Silofast D 4 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• It's important not to crush or chew the tablet.
• Do not take more than what your doctor has recommended.
• Always consult your doctor before stopping this medicine.

Silofast D 4 Tablet is taken orally.

Silofast D 4 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work in different ways to manage BPH symptoms:

• Dutasteride (0.5 mg): This 5-alpha reductase inhibitor blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a hormone involved in prostate enlargement. By reducing DHT levels, dutasteride helps decrease the size of the enlarged prostate and improve BPH symptoms.
• Silodosin (4 mg): An alpha-blocker, silodosin works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. This action improves urine flow and reduces discomfort associated with BPH.

• Store your Silofast D 4 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.
• Choose a spot away from direct light and moisture.
• Keep it in a tightly closed container to shield it from air exposure.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Be mindful to use the product before its expiry date.

• To help manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), maintain a low-sodium diet. Sodium can increase urinary frequency, worsening BPH symptoms.
• Regular physical activity, particularly pelvic-strengthening exercises, can improve urinary health and relieve symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate.
