Rexotril Drops 15 ML are used for the following in children:

• Providing relief from symptoms related to flu and common cold.

• Managing runny nose and sneezing commonly seen in tonsillitis.

• Easing itchiness of the nose or throat due to allergies.
• Alleviating sinus pressure and headache due to otitis media.

Give Rexotril Drops 15 ML to your child as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before using the medicine.
• Use the dropper provided to measure the correct dose of the drops.
• This medicine can be mixed with a small amount of water or milk if your child prefers.
• Remember not to exceed the recommended dose.

Rexotril Drops 15 ML contain two active ingredients that work together to alleviate symptoms associated with common cold and other respiratory conditions:

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (5 mg): A sympathomimetic decongestant that stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa. This results in vasoconstriction which lessens blood flow, decreases inflammation and swelling of nasal passages making breathing through the nose easier.
• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg): An alkylamine antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamine at H1 receptors. Histamine is released during allergic reactions causing symptoms like itching, sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. By blocking its action, chlorpheniramine reduces these symptoms. It also has anticholinergic properties that help dry up watery secretions.
