Qmax 200 Tablet 10

Qmax 200 Tablet is used in adults to treat a range of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, genital area, skin and ear or nose.

Uses of Qmax 200 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Clears infections involving the kidneys, bladder or urethra.
• Genital Infections: Treats genital infections in men and women, including gonorrhoea.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Clears bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken irrespective of meals.

• Do not exceed the advised dose without consulting your doctor first.

Qmax 200 Tablet is taken orally.

• Bacterial DNA-gyrase Inhibition: Ofloxacin effectively inhibits an enzyme called DNA-gyrase present in bacteria. This enzyme plays a key role in DNA replication and bacterial cell division.

• Bacterial Cell Division Disruption: By blocking the activity of DNA-gyrase, ofloxacin disrupts the process of bacterial cell division, thereby stopping the growth and proliferation of bacteria causing the infection.

• Broad Spectrum Activity: Ofloxacin has a broad spectrum of activity, meaning it can act against a wide range of both gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria.

• Store Qmax 200 Tablet in a cool place, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it in a tight container, away from direct light.

• Avoid exposing the medication to excessive moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Stay well hydrated: Qmax 200 Tablet is used for managing bacterial infections, during which your body needs plenty of fluids. Drinking water helps flush bacteria out of your system.

• Limit intake of dairy products: As Qmax 200 Tablet can interact with calcium found in dairy products, try to limit your intake while on this medication. If you cannot avoid dairy entirely, maintain at least a 2-hour gap between taking this medicine and consuming any dairy product.
