Platify 50 Tablet 10

PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of chronic ITP

• Managing low platelet counts in chronic hepatitis C

• Treatment of severe aplastic anaemia

• Prevention of bleeding complications

• Boosting platelet production in blood disorders

• Used in patients unresponsive to corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy (in ITP)

Follow these instructions while taking PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day for best results.

PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10 contains eltrombopag (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Thrombopoietin receptor activation: Eltrombopag acts as a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, stimulating platelet production by activating receptors on megakaryocyte precursors.

• Megakaryocyte stimulation: By activating these receptors, eltrombopag triggers a series of cellular signals that promote the growth and development of megakaryocytes, which are the cells responsible for producing platelets.

• Platelet production enhancement: This stimulation increases the production and maturation of platelets, helping to restore platelet counts to safer levels in your bloodstream.

• Bleeding risk reduction: By increasing the number of platelets in circulation, the medicine helps reduce the risk of spontaneous bleeding or haemorrhage that can occur when platelet counts are dangerously low.

• Store PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10 below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep in the original packaging until use.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you have ITP (a condition where your immune system destroys platelets), include plenty of iron-rich foods in your diet, like leafy greens, beans, and lean meats, to support healthy blood cell production.

• Avoid foods containing calcium, iron, magnesium or zinc within 2 hours before and 4 hours after taking PLATIFY 50 TABLET 10, as these minerals can significantly reduce the medicine's absorption.
