PD 500 Mg Injection is used during pregnancy to help prevent premature labour and to support women with a history of recurrent miscarriage. It contains a form of progesterone, a hormone that helps stabilise the uterine lining and supports the hormonal balance needed to maintain pregnancy.
This injection is given into a muscle by a doctor or nurse, usually in a clinic or hospital setting, and should only be used under medical supervision. Take the full course as advised by your care team, and attend all follow-up appointments so your pregnancy can be monitored.
Attending all antenatal check-ups and following your doctor's advice on rest and activity levels supports a healthy pregnancy alongside this treatment. Report any unusual vaginal bleeding, cramping or reduced foetal movement to your doctor without delay.
Tell your doctor about any existing medical conditions, including liver disease, a history of blood clots, or any bleeding disorders, before starting this treatment. Inform your care team of all other medicines you are taking.
