CompositionParaspas Tablet is used to relieve abdominal pain, colicky discomfort, and menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea) linked to spasms of the stomach and intestinal muscles, easing the sudden cramping that these conditions can cause.
It combines dicyclomine, an anticholinergic that relaxes smooth muscle spasm in the gut, with mefenamic acid, an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation. Take it after food as prescribed, and swallow it whole without crushing or chewing.
Applying a warm compress to the lower stomach, resting, staying well hydrated, and eating light, easily digestible meals can help ease cramping alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any stomach ulcers, glaucoma, enlarged prostate, or urinary difficulty. Avoid alcohol, as it can increase drowsiness and the risk of stomach problems. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
