Pantosec-D Tablet is used to treat acid-related digestive disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, indigestion, and peptic ulcers. It helps reduce stomach acid, relieving symptoms like heartburn, bloating, nausea, and stomach discomfort, and supports healing of the esophagus and stomach lining.

Here are some instructions you should follow while taking Pantosec-D Tablet:

• This medicine should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding when and how to take this medication.
• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor first.
• It's important to continue taking this medicine for as long as your doctor has advised. Do not stop without speaking to your doctor first.

Pantosec-D Tablet is taken orally.

Pantosec-D Tablet includes two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (10 mg): This ingredient acts as a dopamine antagonist. What does this mean? It blocks certain receptors in your digestive system that are sensitive to dopamine, a neurotransmitter in your brain. As a result, it helps your stomach and intestines contract more effectively, speeding up how quickly food leaves your stomach and reducing the chance of acid reflux. Domperidone also helps manage nausea and vomiting by blocking these same receptors in a region of your brain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ).
• Pantoprazole (40 mg): This is a proton pump inhibitor. It targets an enzyme system in your stomach's cells called the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+ ATPase) or more simply, the proton pump. The proton pump is involved in the final step of creating acid in your stomach. By blocking this enzyme system, pantoprazole effectively reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces, relieving symptoms related to excess acid.

• Store Pantosec-D Tablet in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. The ideal temperature is below 30°C.
• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
• Verify the expiration date before use; do not use any past-expiry tablets.

• To help manage acid reflux or gastritis, avoid trigger foods like spicy, fatty, or acidic items. Instead, opt for mild, easy-to-digest foods.
• Regular meals are essential. Instead of three large meals, have smaller portions spread throughout the day to reduce stomach acid build-up.
