Pantacad Injection lowers the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It's used to treat stomach and intestinal acid-related ailments such acid reflux, indigestion, peptic ulcer disease, and a few other stomach conditions linked to excessive acid production. Pantacad Injection is also given before anesthesia medication to help minimise aspiration-related problems and to prevent stress ulcers in critically unwell patients. It's a proton pump inhibitor, which is a type of medication (PPIs). This medicine is injected into a vein by a healthcare expert and is only provided to you if your doctor believes that an injection is better for you right now than taking a pill.
