It is used in conditions such as chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, pancreatic cancer, and various conditions where food is poorly absorbed, and can be helpful after pancreatic or other gastrointestinal surgery. It is taken by mouth, usually with meals and snacks, as directed.
Following the eating plan advised by your doctor or dietitian, and taking the tablets with food, helps the enzymes work effectively.
