Enzabil Tablet 10

Enzabil Tablet 10 is used to help digestion in people whose pancreas does not make enough digestive enzymes.

Uses of Enzabil Tablet 10 are:

• Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency: Helps manage poor digestion caused by a lack of pancreatic enzymes.
• Digestive enzyme replacement: Supports digestion in conditions such as chronic pancreatitis or cystic fibrosis and after pancreatic surgery.

When taking Enzabil Tablet, remember these general guidelines:

• Always take this medicine orally with meals or snacks.

• Swallow the tablet whole, using a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• If you have difficulty swallowing, you could crush the tablet and mix it with a small amount of soft food like applesauce. Consume this mixture immediately and do not store it for later use.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine properly.

Enzabil Tablet is taken orally.

Enzabil Tablet contains Pancreatin (212.5 mg), which acts in the following ways:

• Amylase Activity: Amylase, an enzyme component of Pancreatin, helps in breaking down complex carbohydrates into simpler sugars. This action aids in easier digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.

• Lipase Activity: Another enzyme, Lipase, plays a crucial role in fat digestion. It breaks down triglycerides into monoglycerides and free fatty acids, facilitating the body's absorption of dietary fats.

• Protease Activity: Trypsin and other proteases included in Pancreatin assist in protein digestion. They do this by breaking down proteins into amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, enhancing the body's ability to absorb and utilise dietary proteins.

• Store Enzabil Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep it in a dry area, away from direct heat and moisture.

• Retain the tablets in their original container, ensuring it is tightly sealed.

• Keep the medicine out of reach and sight of children.

• Maintain a balanced diet: As Enzabil Tablet helps manage exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), consuming a healthy mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats ensures optimal nutrient absorption.

• Stay hydrated: Dehydration can worsen symptoms like bloating and diarrhoea associated with EPI. Regularly drinking water throughout the day helps manage these symptoms effectively.
