Onoff-Oz Tablet is used to treat mixed bacterial and protozoal infections. It is commonly used for infective diarrhoea and dysentery, and for infections of the urinary tract, skin, and reproductive organs.
It contains ofloxacin, an antibiotic that acts against bacteria, and ornidazole, which acts against certain parasites (protozoa). Together they cover both types of organism. Take it as prescribed, and complete the full course.
Simple measures support recovery. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, especially with diarrhoea, get adequate rest, and follow good food and hand hygiene.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any existing health conditions or other medicines you take. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for a short while afterwards, as it can cause an unpleasant reaction. Report any severe loose motions or signs of an allergic reaction.
