Onoff-Oz Tablet combines two powerful antibiotics:

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): This component belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics which acts by inhibiting essential enzymes in bacteria known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are involved in bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By blocking these enzymes, ofloxacin prevents bacteria from multiplying and spreading the infection.
• Ornidazole (500 mg): Classified as a nitroimidazole antimicrobial, ornidazole works inside bacterial and protozoal cells where it is converted into reactive intermediates. These intermediates impair the synthesis of DNA and proteins within these cells thereby killing them.

The combination of these two ingredients provides wide coverage against a variety of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria as well as certain protozoa.
