OMIPEP RD TABLET 10 is used for managing a variety of conditions, including:

• Helping to reduce symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where the stomach acid flows back up into your food pipe causing a burning pain in your chest.
• Managing nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgeries.
• Treating gastroparesis, a condition characterised by slow emptying of the stomach which can cause nausea, vomiting, and feeling full quickly while eating.
• Providing relief in dyspepsia, a condition that causes upset stomach or indigestion.

When it comes to taking OMIPEP RD TABLET 10, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Take the medicine at about the same time each day to help you remember to take it regularly.
• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has instructed. Do not adjust the dose without consulting your doctor first.

OMIPEP RD TABLET 10 is taken orally.

OMIPEP RD TABLET 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Omeprazole (10 mg): Omeprazole belongs to a class of medications known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It does this by inhibiting a system in the cells of your stomach known as the proton pump. The proton pump is involved in the final step of acid production in your stomach, so inhibiting it reduces stomach acidity.
• Domperidone (15 mg): Domperidone acts as a dopamine antagonist in the body. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain, which inhibits messages sent by nerves in the digestive system that trigger feelings of nausea and vomiting.

• Store OMIPEP RD TABLET 10 at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.
• Keep it away from direct light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.
• Ensure that it is not within the reach of children.

• If you've been prescribed OMIPEP RD TABLET 10 for acid reflux, try reducing your intake of spicy and fatty foods as these can increase stomach acid production.
• Avoid lying down immediately after meals. This can prevent the backflow of stomach content into the food pipe, managing symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
