Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops are used for infected, inflamed eye or ear conditions.

Uses of Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops are:

• Bacterial Eye Infections: Treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis.
• Ear Infections: Treat bacterial infections of the ear.
• Inflammation: Reduce redness and swelling alongside the infection.

To use Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops correctly, please follow these steps:

• Always wash your hands before use.

• Give the bottle a good shake before each use.

• If putting to the eye, tilt your head back. If putting to the ear, tilt your head sideways.

• Gently pull down the lower eyelid or earlobe to create a pocket for the drops.

• Hold the dropper close to your eye or ear without touching it and gently squeeze out the drops.

• Close your eyes or press on your ear flap to spread the medicine.

• Do not rinse or wipe the dropper tip after use.

Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops is instilled topically.

Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops contain four active components that work in a unique way:

• Ofloxacin (0.3%): This ingredient is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting enzymes in bacteria called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV which are required for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This disruption in bacterial cell division leads to cell death.

• Dexamethasone (0.1%): A corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties, dexamethasone suppresses the inflammatory response in your body by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines and mediators like prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and histamine. It also reduces capillary permeability and inhibits migration of white blood cells to the area of inflammation.

• Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) (0.025%): HPMC acts as a lubricant and viscosity-increasing agent, which makes the drops easier to put and helps them to stay on the eye or ear longer for maximum effect.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This ingredient is a preservative that helps to prevent the growth of bacteria in the medicine, ensuring it remains safe and effective for use.

• Store Oflokem-D Eye/Ear Drops at a temperature below 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and don't freeze it.

• Always keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
