Noxagion 40 Injection 0.4ml is an anticoagulant medicine used mainly to prevent blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It is a single-ingredient medicine containing enoxaparin sodium, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant.
This medicine is also used to treat blood clots and manage certain acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina and heart attack. It is given as a subcutaneous injection, usually into the fatty tissue under the skin of the abdomen. The dose and duration depend on the condition being treated, body weight and kidney function and should be given exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, a history of bleeding, stomach ulcers, uncontrolled high blood pressure, low platelet counts or have recently undergone surgery. Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you are taking, particularly those that may increase the risk of bleeding. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine. Report unusual or heavy bleeding to your doctor and do not stop treatment without medical advice.
