CompositionNorvent LS Syrup is a combination medicine used to manage productive coughs associated with respiratory conditions such as acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and airway constriction (bronchospasm). It helps clear thick, sticky mucus from the chest and opens up narrowed airways to ease breathing.
It contains levosalbutamol (a bronchodilator), ambroxol (a mucolytic agent), and guaiphenesin (an expectorant). Levosalbutamol relaxes airway muscles to relieve wheezing and chest tightness, ambroxol thins and breaks down dense phlegm, and guaiphenesin reduces mucus stickiness so it can be coughed up easily. Measure the dose accurately using a measuring cup and take it as prescribed.
Drinking plenty of warm water or clear warm fluids throughout the day helps keep chest mucus thin and easier to expel. Steam inhalation and avoiding exposure to cold air, tobacco smoke, dust, and chemical fumes can further support airway recovery.
Before taking this syrup, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, or stomach ulcers. Inform your doctor if you experience rapid heartbeats, severe shakiness, or worsening shortness of breath while taking this medicine.
