Peptard-D Capsule is used to manage GERD, where stomach acid irritates the food pipe, causing heartburn. It also treats peptic ulcers, improving healing and reducing acid-related discomfort in the stomach and intestines.

Consider these guidelines while taking Peptard-D Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing or opening the capsule.

• It's essential to take this medicine at least 1 hour before eating, preferably in the morning.

• Do not alter the dosage without consulting your doctor.

• If you feel better before finishing your prescribed course, don't stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Peptard-D Capsule is taken orally.

Peptard-D Capsule contain two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): This dopamine antagonist works by improving gastric motility and emptying. It tightens the lower esophageal sphincter, which reduces acid reflux into the oesophagus.

• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, rabeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly blocking the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, resulting in decreased acid production.

The combined action of these two ingredients provides rapid symptom relief and promotes the healing of inflamed or damaged gastrointestinal mucosa.

• Keep Peptard-D Capsule in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.

• Protect the medication from excess heat, light, and moisture.

• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children.

• Always use Peptard-D Capsule before its expiry date.

• To manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), avoid fatty foods, alcohol, caffeine, and smoking as these can worsen your symptoms.

• For peptic ulcer disease management, introduce a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains as these promote healing and prevent recurrence of ulcers.
