Noralin Injection 2 ML

Noralin Injection 2 ML is used for the following:

• Treatment of severe hypotension in emergencies

• Managing blood pressure during cardiogenic shock

• Restoring blood pressure in septic shock

• Supporting circulation during distributive shock

• Addressing hypotension during anaphylaxis

• Maintaining blood pressure in critical care settings

• Supporting cardiac function in emergencies

• Adjunctive treatment during cardiac arrest with hypotension

• Restoring vascular tone in emergency medical conditions

• This medicine should only be administered by a healthcare professional in hospital settings.

• Dilute the injection in dextrose or saline solution before administration.

• Administer through the intravenous route only.

• Monitor blood pressure continuously during administration.

• Avoid extravasation (leakage of medicine into surrounding tissue) during infusion.

Noralin Injection 2 ML is administered intravenously.

Noralin Injection 2 ML contains norepinephrine (2 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-adrenergic receptor activation: Norepinephrine binds to and activates alpha-1 and alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in your blood vessels, causing them to narrow (vasoconstriction). This increases peripheral vascular resistance and elevates blood pressure.

• Beta-1 adrenergic receptor stimulation: This medicine also activates beta-1 receptors in your heart, resulting in positive inotropic (increased force of heart contractions) and chronotropic (increased heart rate) effects.

• Coronary artery dilation: Norepinephrine, through its beta-adrenergic action, helps dilate the coronary arteries, improving blood flow to the heart muscle during emergency situations.

• Store Noralin Injection 2 ML ampoules in a cool & dry place.

• Protect from light exposure.

• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

• Do not use Noralin Injection 2 ML after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you have low blood pressure issues (hypotension), consider increasing your salt intake slightly, as recommended by your doctor, to help maintain adequate blood pressure levels.

• Stay well-hydrated throughout the day to help maintain proper blood volume, which contributes to healthy blood pressure regulation.
