Neosporin H Ear Drops is a medicine used to treat bacterial ear infections of the outer ear canal (swimmer's ear). It helps reduce pain, swelling, redness, and itching associated with ear discomfort.
It contains neomycin, polymyxin B, and hydrocortisone. Neomycin and polymyxin B are antibiotics that eliminate infection-causing bacteria, while hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that calms inflammation. Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected ear as directed. Complete the full course as advised by your doctor to prevent the infection from returning.
Good ear hygiene helps support recovery from ear infections. Keep the ear dry during bathing, avoid inserting cotton buds or objects into the ear canal, and refrain from swimming until your doctor confirms the infection has cleared.
Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have a perforated eardrum, severe hearing loss, or allergies to any antibiotics. Inform your doctor if ear pain worsens or if you notice unusual discharge or hearing changes.
