MUCIDAY Tablet is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including bronchitis and emphysema. It helps relieve airway inflammation and alleviates symptoms such as wheezing and breathlessness.

Muciday Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Montelukast (10 mg): Classified as a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA), montelukast works by blocking leukotriene receptors that are usually activated by inflammatory chemicals released by the body in response to allergens or other triggers. By doing so, montelukast reduces inflammation and bronchoconstriction while mitigating allergic responses.
• Acebrophylline (200 mg): As a derivative of xanthine with antiinflammatory, bronchodilator and mucolytic properties, acebrophylline works by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzymes. This leads to increased levels of cyclic AMP, which produces bronchodilation. Its mucolytic action aids in dissolving thick mucus secretions.
