Medipred 16 MG Tablet 10

Medipred 16 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing endocrine disorders such as adrenocortical insufficiency and congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
• Alleviation of rheumatic disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis.
• Control of collagen diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus and acute rheumatic carditis.
• Management of severe allergic conditions, including bronchial asthma, medicine hypersensitivity reactions, and serum sickness.
• Helping with hematologic disorders like idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and autoimmune hemolytic anaemia.
• Palliative management of neoplastic diseases such as leukaemia and lymphoma.
• Handling severe inflammatory eye conditions such as optic neuritis and iridocyclitis.
• Managing respiratory diseases like symptomatic sarcoidosis and fulminating tuberculosis.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Take the medicine, preferably with food, to lessen the chance of stomach irritation.
• Do not take more than the dose suggested by your doctor.
• Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Medipred 16 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Medipred 16 MG Tablet 10 contains methylprednisolone (16 mg) which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• If you're using Medipred 16 MG Tablet 10 for inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, try to include more fibre-rich foods in your diet. Foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables can help manage your symptoms.
• For severe allergic conditions like bronchial asthma, avoid exposure to allergens such as dust mites or pet dander. Regular cleaning of your living space can help reduce these allergens.
