Mala-D Tablet is used to prevent pregnancy. It is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing two hormones, levonorgestrel (a progestogen) and ethinylestradiol (an oestrogen), and belongs to a class of medicines called hormonal contraceptives.

Each pack contains 21 hormone tablets and 7 iron (ferrous fumarate) tablets for the remaining days of the cycle. Take one tablet every day at about the same time, in the order shown on the pack, as advised by your doctor. Missing tablets can reduce protection, so ask your doctor or pharmacist what to do if you miss a dose. This pill does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.
