Lox 2 % Injection 2 ML

Lox 2 % Injection 2 ML is used for the following purposes:

• Providing relief from pain, irritation, or itching due to mouth ulcers.

• Creating a numb sensation in tissues before minor surgical or cosmetic procedures

• Easing the process of inserting tubes or instruments into the mouth or throat

• Acting as an anaesthetic before spinal blocks or other regional anaesthetic techniques

Lox 2 % Injection 2 ML is administered intravenously, subcutaneously, or via the epidural route.

Lox 2 % Injection 2 ML contains lidocaine (2%), which acts on your body as follows:

• Sodium Channel Blocker: Lidocaine works by temporarily blocking sodium channels present in neurons. These channels play a crucial role in nerve impulse transmission.

• Neuronal Membrane Stabilisation: By blocking sodium influx, lidocaine stabilises the neuronal membrane, inhibiting nerve impulses' initiation and transmission where applied.

• Numbing Effect: The blocking action prevents neurons from firing and sending pain signals to the brain. This results in numbness and anaesthesia in the applied area.

• Store Lox 2 % Injection 2 ML at a room temperature of 15-30°C.

• Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
