Loplock Tablet 10 is a medicine used to treat short-term (acute) and long-term (chronic) loose motions (diarrhoea) in adults and adolescents above 12 years. It helps reduce stool frequency, firm up bowel movements, and ease abdominal cramps.
It contains loperamide, an anti-diarrhoeal agent that calms excessive bowel activity. Take this tablet with water as prescribed by your doctor or as indicated on the pack. Continue taking it until bowel movements return to normal, but do not exceed the recommended dose.
Drink plenty of fluids, such as oral rehydration solutions, clear broths, or water, to stay well hydrated and replace lost body salts during diarrhoea episodes.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, high fever, or blood or mucus in your stools. Do not use this medicine for diarrhoea caused by bacterial infections or dysentery unless specifically advised by your doctor.
