LOPAREX 2 MG TABLET 10 is a medicine used to treat acute and chronic diarrhoea in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. It helps slow bowel movements, reduce intestinal secretions, and control frequent loose stools and stomach cramps.
It contains loperamide, which slows bowel movement. Take it as prescribed by your doctor. It should not be used in diarrhoea caused by bacterial infections or dysentery without medical advice, or if you have a fever or blood in your stools.
Stay well hydrated during diarrhoea by drinking oral rehydration solutions or plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. Eat plain, easy-to-digest foods such as boiled rice, toast, or bananas until bowel movements return to normal.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver problems, a fever, or blood in your stools. Do not take it for longer than two days for acute diarrhoea without medical review. If diarrhoea persists or worsens, or if you develop abdominal bloating or pain, contact your doctor promptly.
