LASTAIR PLUS 10/10 MG Tablet 10 is used for the long-term control and prevention of asthma in adults. It helps prevent regular symptoms, reduces how often and how severe attacks are, controls bronchospasm, and lowers the need for a rescue inhaler.

Primary Uses of LASTAIR PLUS 10/10 MG Tablet 10 are:

• Long-term Asthma Control: Helps prevent asthma symptoms and reduce the frequency and severity of attacks.
• Reducing Rescue Inhaler Use: Helps lower the need for a rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms.
• Bronchospasm Control: Helps prevent the sudden airway tightening that causes wheezing and breathlessness, including with exercise.

Follow these instructions while taking LASTAIR PLUS 10/10 MG Tablet 10:

• Take the tablet daily as advised by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.

• Take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not chew, crush or break the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even during symptom-free periods.

• This medicine is not for treating acute asthma attacks.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

LASTAIR PLUS 10/10 MG Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Bambuterol (10 mg): As a long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA), it stimulates beta2 receptors in the lungs, causing the smooth muscles in your airways to relax and widen. This leads to bronchodilation (opening of the airways), making it easier for you to breathe.

• Montelukast (10 mg): This is a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) that blocks substances called leukotrienes in your body. Leukotrienes are inflammatory chemicals that cause airway swelling, mucus production, and muscle contraction during asthma. By blocking these substances, montelukast reduces inflammation and prevents narrowing of the airways.

• Avoid foods and drinks containing caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks) as they may worsen symptoms of asthma by causing bronchospasm (tightening of airways).
