LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML may interact with the following medications:

• Oral beta-blockers such as propranolol and metoprolol: The concomitant use may cause additive cardiovascular effects, including bradycardia and hypotension.
• Calcium channel blockers such as verapamil, diltiazem, and nifedipine: The concomitant use may increase the risk of heart conduction abnormalities.
• Antihypertensives/Cardiac Glycosides such as digoxin: Concomitant use with antihypertensives or cardiac glycosides such as digoxin may potentiate hypotension or bradycardia due to additive cardiovascular effects.
• Antihypertensive agents such as clonidine or reserpine: The concomitant use may enhance blood pressure-lowering effects and increase the risk of marked hypotension.
• Class IA antiarrhythmic agents such as quinidine: The concomitant use may increase systemic beta-blockade and potentiate cardiovascular adverse effects.
• Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine and paroxetine: Concomitant use may increase timolol plasma concentrations through CYP2D6 inhibition, enhancing beta-blocker effects.
• Adrenergic agonists such as adrenaline: The concomitant use may modify pupillary response and alter cardiovascular reactions.
• Anaesthetic agents: The concomitant use may increase the risk of hypotension and cardiac depression during surgical procedures.

There are no specific food interactions. However, avoiding excessive caffeine may help prevent increased eye pressure.

Patients with the following conditions should use LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML with caution:

• Bronchial Asthma: Patients with a history of bronchial asthma may experience an exacerbation of their condition when using LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML.
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Those with severe COPD should avoid using this medication, as it may worsen their condition.
• Cardiac Disorders: Patients with sinus bradycardia, atrioventricular block, cardiac failure, or cardiogenic shock should be cautious, as the timolol component of LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML can affect heart function.
• Raynaud's Phenomenon: LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML should be used with caution in patients with Raynaud's phenomenon, as it may worsen peripheral vasospasm and reduce blood flow to the extremities.
• Diabetes: Timolol can mask the symptoms of hypoglycaemia, such as rapid heartbeat, making it harder to recognise low blood sugar levels. Diabetic patients should monitor their blood glucose levels closely.
• Myasthenia Gravis: Timolol may exacerbate muscle weakness in patients with myasthenia gravis, leading to increased symptoms. Close monitoring and consultation with a healthcare provider are essential.

The daily instillation of LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML should be done as directed by your doctor. The dosage may vary based on the severity of your condition and your response to the medication.

If you accidentally use more LAPROST PLUS 0.5/0.005% EYE DROPS 3ML than recommended, don't panic. Rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If you notice persistent or worsening symptoms, inform your doctor.

If you forget to use your dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double-dose to compensate for the missed application.
