Kemosporin Ointment 20gm

Kemosporin Ointment is used to manage bacterial skin infections.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after application. If treating the affected area, avoid washing it immediately after use.
• Cleanse the infected area before you apply the ointment and ensure that it is dry.
• Apply a layer of the ointment to the infected skin and gently rub it in.
• You may use a thin dressing to cover the area if your doctor advises.

Kemosporin Ointment is for external use only, so apply it to the affected area as directed.

Kemosporin Ointment contains the following ingredients:

• Bacitracin (400 IU): Bacitracin acts by interfering with the transportation of cell wall building blocks in bacteria. This weakens the bacterial cell wall, causing the bacteria to die.
• Neomycin (3400 IU): Neomycin works by attaching to bacterial ribosomes, blocking protein synthesis. This halts the growth and replication of bacteria.
• Polymyxin B (5000 IU): Polymyxin B disrupts the outer cell membrane of certain bacteria, making it easier for substances to pass through. This allows the antibiotic to enter the cell and disrupt its functions, leading to the bacterial cell's death.

• Kemosporin Ointment should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.
