Intaphylline Injection 2 Ml

INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML is used for the treatment of bronchospasm associated with bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Uses of INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML are:

• Bronchial Asthma: Helps relieve bronchospasm associated with asthma.
• COPD: Helps relieve bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
• Bronchodilation: Helps relax the airway muscles and improve airflow.

Follow these instructions when INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML is administered:

• This medicine should only be administered by a trained medical professional.

• The injection is administered slowly over 10-15 minutes. It should not be administered as a rapid injection.

• Your heart rate and breathing will be monitored during administration.

• The injection site should be monitored for any discomfort or reaction.

INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML is administered intravenously.

INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML contains two active ingredients:

• Theophylline (25.3 mg): As a methylxanthine, theophylline inhibits phosphodiesterases and additionally blocks adenosine receptors in airway tissues. This dual action contributes to bronchodilation (widening of airways) and reduces the release of inflammatory mediators that can trigger airway constriction.

• Etofylline (84.7 mg): This methylxanthine derivative works by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzymes in your airways. This inhibition increases a substance called cyclic AMP within cells, which helps relax the smooth muscles in your bronchial passages, making breathing easier.

• Store INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML ampoules below 25°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the injection protected from direct light and excessive heat.

• Avoid using if the solution appears discoloured or contains particles.

• Always keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date on the packaging and avoid using it after this date.

• If you have asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, avoid smoking completely as it worsens breathing problems and reduces the effectiveness of INTAPHYLLINE INJECTION 2 ML.
