Immutil S 180 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of kidney transplant rejection
• Prevention of heart transplant rejection
• Prevention of liver transplant rejection
• Suppression of overactive immune responses
• Management of organ transplant complications
• Prevention of transplant failure
• Immunosuppression for transplant patients

Take Immutil S 180 Tablet 10 as per the following instructions:

• Take the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor with or without food.
• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing, breaking or chewing it.
• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
• Take this medicine regularly at the same time each day.
• If you have difficulty swallowing, consult your doctor for advice.

Immutil S 180 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Immutil S 180 Tablet 10 contains mycophenolate mofetil (180 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Prodrug Conversion: Mycophenolate mofetil is converted in your body to its active form called mycophenolic acid, which is the substance that actually performs the immunosuppressive action.
• Enzyme Inhibition: It blocks an enzyme called inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), which is essential for making certain nucleotides (building blocks) that immune cells need to multiply.
• T and B Lymphocyte Suppression: By preventing these immune cells from multiplying, it reduces their ability to attack and reject your transplanted organ.
• Selective Immunosuppression: It specifically targets rapidly dividing cells like lymphocytes while having less effect on other cells, which helps reduce some potential side effects.

• Store in cool, dark and dry place at a temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you've had an organ transplant, avoid raw or undercooked foods (meat, eggs, seafood) to reduce infection risk while your immune system is suppressed.
• Stay well-hydrated and maintain good hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing, to help prevent infections during therapy.
