Glycolate 1 Tablet is used to treat peptic ulcers by reducing excess stomach acid production and relieving stomach pain. It is a single-ingredient anticholinergic medicine containing glycopyrrolate.
It is also used to reduce excessive drooling in certain neurological conditions and as a preoperative medicine to reduce airway and salivary secretions. Take it as prescribed, usually on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after meals in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Stay well hydrated, take small, frequent sips of water and maintain good oral hygiene to ease the drying effects of this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, urinary retention, severe kidney disease, ulcerative colitis or heart conditions, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report severe constipation, blurred vision or difficulty passing urine. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
