Glifozenix 100 Tablet 10

GLIFOZENIX 100 TABLET 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antihypertensive medicines (e.g., ramipril, telmisartan): Concurrent use may increase the risk of low blood pressure, dizziness, or dehydration in some patients. Monitoring of blood pressure may be required.
• Antidiabetic medicines (e.g., insulin, glimepiride): Concurrent use may increase the risk of low blood sugar levels. Blood glucose monitoring and dose adjustment of antidiabetic medicines may be required during treatment.
• Antitubercular medicines (e.g., rifampicin): Rifampicin may reduce the effectiveness of canagliflozin by affecting its metabolism. Blood sugar monitoring may be required during combined use.
• Antiepileptic medicines (e.g., phenytoin, phenobarbital): These medicines may reduce canagliflozin levels in the body and decrease its blood sugar-lowering effect. Monitoring of blood glucose control may be advised.
• Diuretic medicines (e.g., furosemide, torsemide): Combined use may increase the risk of dehydration, dizziness, low blood pressure, or kidney-related side effects. Monitoring of hydration status and kidney function may be advised.
• Digoxin: Canagliflozin may increase digoxin levels in some individuals and increase the risk of digoxin-related side effects. Monitoring may be required during combined use.

GLIFOZENIX 100 TABLET 10 should be used with caution if you have:

• Diabetic ketoacidosis: This medicine may increase the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious condition caused by high levels of acids called ketones in the blood. This can sometimes occur even when blood sugar levels are not very high. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, tiredness, or difficulty breathing.
• Recurrent urinary tract infections: Since this medicine increases sugar levels in the urine, it may create conditions that allow bacteria or fungi to grow more easily, increasing the risk of repeated urinary tract or genital infections in some individuals.
• Peripheral vascular disease or diabetic foot ulcers: Patients with poor blood circulation, nerve damage, foot ulcers, or a history of amputations may have a higher risk of foot-related complications during treatment. Regular foot care and monitoring are important.
• Dehydration or low blood pressure: This medicine can increase fluid loss through urine, which may worsen dehydration or low blood pressure and lead to dizziness, weakness, or fainting in some patients.

Take GLIFOZENIX 100 TABLET 10 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on blood sugar control, kidney function, concurrent medicines, and individual response to treatment. 

Overdose of GLIFOZENIX 100 TABLET 10 may increase the risk of dehydration, dizziness, low blood pressure, excessive urination, or low blood sugar when taken with other antidiabetic medicines. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose of GLIFOZENIX 100 TABLET 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses on the same day to compensate for the missed dose.
