Forfos 35 Tablet 4 is used for the following:

• Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

• Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

• Management of osteoporosis in men

• Increasing bone mass and strength

• Reducing risk of bone fractures

• Prevention of bone loss

• Slowing down bone removal process

• Strengthening weakened bones

• Improving bone density in adults

• Managing conditions that cause bone weakness

Follow these instructions while taking Forfos 35 Tablet 4:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water only.

• Do not chew, crush the tablet.

• Take it first thing in the morning, at least 30 minutes before any food or drink.

• Remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet.

• Take this medicine only once weekly on the same day each week.

• Consult your doctor if you are unsure about how to take this medicine.

Forfos 35 Tablet 4 is taken orally.

Forfos 35 Tablet 4 contains alendronic acid (35 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits osteoclast activity: Alendronic acid attaches to the surface of bones and interferes with the action of bone-removing cells called osteoclasts, which normally break down bone tissue.

• Reduces bone resorption: By slowing down the process of bone breakdown (resorption), this medicine helps maintain bone density and prevents excessive bone loss.

• Enhances osteoblast effectiveness: With reduced osteoclast activity, the bone-building cells called osteoblasts can work more effectively, leading to increased bone mass over time.

• Increases bone mineral density: Through its combined effects on bone cells, alendronic acid helps strengthen bones and makes them less prone to fractures.

Follow these instructions while storing Forfos 35 Tablet 4:

• Store Forfos 35 Tablet 4 at room temperature.

• Keep in its original packaging until ready to use.

• Protect from moisture and heat.

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Calcium-rich foods: Include dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified foods in your diet to support bone health. Calcium is essential for maintaining strong bones affected by osteoporosis.

• Weight-bearing exercise: Regular activities like walking, dancing or light weightlifting help strengthen bones and improve balance, reducing your risk of falls and fractures.
