Foly Act Tablet 10

Foly Act Tablet is used for managing folate deficiency anaemia and supporting healthy red blood cell production. It contains Folic Acid (5 mg), a vital B-vitamin that helps form DNA, helps in red blood cell formation, and is especially important during pregnancy to manage neural tube defects. It is beneficial for individuals with malabsorption disorders, chronic hemolytic anaemia, or those taking medications that deplete folate levels. 

• Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid – 5 mg): Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate, a vital B-vitamin (Vitamin B9) essential for the formation of healthy red blood cells. It plays a critical role in DNA synthesis, cell division, and the metabolism of amino acids. It also supports brain health, energy levels, and is particularly important for individuals with anaemia, malabsorption issues, or on medications that interfere with folate absorption.

• For Folate Deficiency Anaemia: Folic acid is essential for the production of healthy red blood cells. This tablet helps manage folate deficiency, which can lead to anaemia characterised by fatigue, pallor, and poor concentration. 
   
• Helps Reduce Chances of Neural Tube Defects: When taken before and during early pregnancy, folic acid may help manage the risk of serious birth defects in the baby's brain and spine. It supports proper foetal development during the first trimester.
   
• Manages Megaloblastic Anaemia: Folic acid is critical in managing megaloblastic anaemia, a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large and immature. This condition occurs due to impaired DNA synthesis caused by folate deficiency, and supplementation helps normalise cell formation.
   
• Assists in Malabsorption Conditions: People with gastrointestinal conditions or after intestinal surgery may have trouble absorbing folate. This supplement ensures they receive enough folic acid to meet their body’s needs.
