Flutivate Ointment 20gm

Flutivate Skin Ointment is used to manage inflammatory skin conditions including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis. It helps reduce skin inflammation, redness, itching, scaling, and discomfort associated with these conditions. The ointment is also used in other steroid-responsive skin disorders such as lichen planus, lupus-related rashes, and allergic skin reactions.

Apply Flutivate Skin Ointment as suggested below:

• Make sure that the affected skin area is clean and dry.

• With clean hands, apply a thin film of the ointment to the affected area.

• Rub it in gently until it is fully absorbed into the skin.

• Avoid use on your face, groin, axillae, or other sensitive areas without consulting your doctor.

• Remember to wash your hands after applying the ointment to prevent spreading to other areas.

• Do not cover the applied area with bandages or other occlusive dressings unless advised by your doctor.

Flutivate Skin Ointment is applied topically.

Flutivate Skin Ointment contains Fluticasone Propionate (0.005%) which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Induces Lipocortins: Fluticasone propionate prompts your body to produce proteins called lipocortins. These proteins inhibit phospholipase A2, an enzyme involved in inflammation.

• Decreases Inflammation: By inducing lipocortins, fluticasone propionate effectively reduces inflammation of the skin.

• Reduces Itchiness: This ointment's anti-pruritic (anti-itch) property helps in reducing itching associated with certain skin conditions.

• Vasoconstriction: Fluticasone propionate causes vasoconstriction or narrowing of blood vessels in the applied area which helps reduce redness and swelling.

• Store Flutivate Skin Ointment at a cool temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.

• Ensure the ointment tube is tightly closed after each use.

• Always keep Flutivate Skin Ointment out of the reach of children.

• Do not freeze.

• If you're managing conditions like eczema or psoriasis with Flutivate Skin Ointment, try to incorporate foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, such as walnuts, chia seeds, and fatty fish, into your diet. These nutrients can help reduce inflammation and combat dry skin.

• Avoid direct contact with potential allergens or irritants which may trigger skin reactions. This includes certain soaps, detergents, and fabrics that are harsh on the skin. Opt for hypoallergenic options where possible.
