Flutivate Skin Cream is a medicine used to manage inflammatory and itchy skin conditions in adults and children. It helps reduce redness, swelling, and itching associated with conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and lichen planus.
It contains fluticasone propionate and belongs to the topical corticosteroid group of medicines. Apply a thin layer to the affected area of skin only, as directed by your doctor. Do not apply it to healthy skin. Avoid the eyes and face unless specifically directed. Do not use it for longer than advised, and always use the smallest amount that provides relief.
Keep the affected skin clean and dry. Avoid applying thick or occlusive bandages over the treated area unless directed by your doctor, as this increases absorption and the risk of side effects. Wear soft, breathable clothing over treated skin.
Before using this cream, tell your doctor if you have any skin infections (bacterial, fungal, or viral), as corticosteroids may worsen infections. Do not use it on broken or infected skin without medical advice. Long-term or widespread use can cause skin thinning; use only under medical supervision for extended periods. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
