Epiduo Gel is used to manage acne in adults and children aged 9 years and over. It helps clear pimples, blackheads and whiteheads while calming the inflammation associated with breakouts.
This gel contains adapalene, a retinoid that keeps pores clear, together with benzoyl peroxide, which reduces the bacteria behind acne. Apply it only as your doctor advises, usually a thin layer to the affected areas of the face or trunk. Continue using it for the duration recommended, even if your skin looks clear, to help prevent new breakouts.
Using a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturiser and sunscreen, and avoiding harsh scrubs or exfoliants, can help reduce dryness and irritation while using this gel. Limiting sun exposure is also advised, as the skin may become more sensitive to sunlight.
Before using this gel, tell your doctor about any skin sensitivities, other acne treatments, or ongoing skin conditions. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips and mucous membranes. Contact your doctor if you notice severe redness, peeling or irritation that does not settle.
