Doxyros Lb Tablet 10

Doxyros-Lb Tablet interacts with the following medicines: 

• Antacids or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, or iron: These can reduce how well doxycycline is absorbed, making it less effective. It is recommended to separate the timing of these supplements by at least 2 hours from the antibiotic.
• Retinoids (e.g., isotretinoin): Taking retinoids together with doxycycline can increase the risk of raised intracranial pressure (also called benign intracranial hypertension or pseudotumor cerebri). Because this interaction can be serious, these medicines are generally avoided together. Inform your doctor if you are taking acne medicines like isotretinoin before starting Doxyros-Lb Tablet.
• Blood thinners (e.g., warfarin): Doxyros-Lb Tablet may increase the risk of bleeding due to enhanced anticoagulant effect. Patients on blood thinners may require closer monitoring of coagulation levels during treatment.

Doxyros-Lb Tablet interacts with the following foods: 

• Dairy products (milk, cheese, yoghurt) and calcium-rich foods: Calcium can bind to doxycycline, reducing absorption. Take the tablet at least 1–2 hours apart from dairy products.
• High-fibre foods: While generally safe, very high fibre intake may slightly reduce doxycycline absorption.

Doxyros-Lb Tablet can interact with the following diseases:

• History of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea or gut dysbiosis: Using antibiotics can worsen gut imbalance. The probiotic component (Lactic Acid Bacillus) helps restore healthy flora, but patients should still be monitored for digestive symptoms.
• Allergies to antibiotics or probiotics: Individuals with a history of hypersensitivity may experience rash, swelling, or breathing difficulties.

Your doctor will determine whether you should take Doxyros-Lb Tablet once or twice daily, based on the infection type, severity, and your health status.

Taking more than the prescribed amount may increase the risk of side effects. Symptoms of overdose can include severe nausea, repeated vomiting, intense stomach pain, severe dizziness, or unusual tiredness. In case of suspected overdose, seek immediate medical help or contact the nearest hospital. 

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular timing. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose, as this can increase the risk of side effects.
