Donep-M Tablet is used to manage symptoms of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease in adults. It combines two medicines that work through different but complementary mechanisms to support memory, concentration, and daily functioning.
It contains donepezil 5 mg (a cholinesterase inhibitor that increases acetylcholine levels in the brain) and memantine 5 mg (an NMDA receptor antagonist that helps regulate the effects of glutamate on nerve cells). Take it as prescribed, usually at bedtime to reduce daytime GI side effects from donepezil.
A structured daily routine, cognitive stimulation activities, regular neurological follow-up, and carer support all support quality of life alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart rhythm problems, kidney or liver disease, epilepsy, peptic ulcer, bladder conditions, breathing problems, or other medicines.
