Dompan Tablet is used to relieve acidity, heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach discomfort, including symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers.
It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid, and domperidone, which improves stomach emptying. Take it as prescribed, generally before a meal, and swallow the tablet whole. Continue for the duration advised by your doctor, even if your symptoms improve early.
Avoiding spicy, fatty, and heavy meals, eating smaller and more frequent portions, and not lying down immediately after eating can help ease acidity alongside this medicine. Reducing alcohol and caffeine intake may also help.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart conditions, or are taking other medicines. Tell your doctor if you notice dizziness, stomach pain, or an irregular heartbeat, or if your symptoms do not improve.
