Daslemia 50 Tablet 60 is used for the following:

• Treatment of chronic myeloid leukaemia

• Management of Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

• Therapy for blood cancers resistant to other medicines

• Indicated for patients with resistance or intolerance to prior therapy, including imatinib

• Management of specific types of adult leukaemia

• Control of abnormal white blood cell production

• Targeting of BCR-ABL-positive blood cancers

• Suppression of cancer cell multiplication in bone marrow

Follow these instructions while taking Daslemia 50 Tablet 60:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Keep taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• If you have difficulty swallowing tablets, consult your doctor.

Daslemia 50 Tablet 60 is taken orally.

Daslemia 50 Tablet 60 contains dasatinib (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits BCR-ABL: Dasatinib blocks the action of an abnormal protein called BCR-ABL, which is responsible for triggering the multiplication of cancer cells in certain types of leukaemia.

• Inhibits Src kinase: It inhibits Src kinase, another protein that contributes to cancer cell growth and proliferation, helping to stop the uncontrolled division of malignant cells.

• Signal blocking: Dasatinib prevents the transmission of growth signals within cancer cells, effectively interrupting the communication pathways that would otherwise allow these cells to survive and multiply.

• Targeted approach: Unlike some cancer treatments that affect all rapidly dividing cells, dasatinib specifically targets the abnormal proteins found in cancer cells.

• Store Daslemia 50 Tablet 60 below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep in the original container with the lid tightly closed.

• Protect from direct light and moisture.

• Do not store in bathroom cabinets due to humidity.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use, and do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you experience fatigue or weakness (common symptoms of leukaemia), consider eating iron-rich foods such as leafy greens, beans, and lean meats to help manage anaemia symptoms.

• To reduce infection risk while taking this medicine, wash your hands frequently and avoid crowds or people with contagious illnesses when your white blood cell count is low.
