Cornigel Eye Ointment 5 GM

Cornigel Eye Ointment is used for managing eye dryness, irritation and discomfort. It forms a protective, moisturising layer with Lamolin and White soft paraffin. This ointment forms a barrier that shields the eyes from environmental irritants, such as dust, wind, and pollutants, reducing further strain or injury. The ointment base ensures prolonged retention on the ocular surface, making it highly effective for overnight relief and protection. This ointment is beneficial after cataract or refractive surgeries to support healing, minimise dryness and reduce post-operative discomfort.

• Lanolin (0.2 %): Lanolin is a natural, waxy substance derived from wool, which is known for its excellent moisturising and emollient properties. In eye ointments, it helps retain moisture on the ocular surface, eliminates dryness and soothes irritation. Lanolin forms a gentle barrier, supporting healing and protecting delicate eye tissues from further damage.
   
• Mineral Oil (42.5 %): Mineral Oil is a lightweight, inert emollient that helps form a smooth, protective film over the eye. It eliminates moisture loss, reduces friction and soothes dryness or irritation. It is often used in ophthalmic preparations, which enhances lubrication, improves comfort and supports healing in dry eye and post-surgical recovery.
   
• White Soft Paraffin (57.3 %): White Soft Paraffin is a semi-solid form of petroleum jelly used for its protective and hydrating effects. In eye ointments, it helps form a long-lasting moisture barrier, eliminating evaporation and soothing irritated tissues. It supports healing by creating a lubricated environment ideal for cell regeneration and surface repair.

• Relieves Dry Eyes: Cornigel Eye Ointment helps provide long-lasting moisture to soothe symptoms of dry eye syndrome. It is ideal for individuals with low tear production or exposure to dry environments. 
   
• Protects the Eye Surface: It contains white soft paraffin, which forms a lubricating barrier that shields against irritants like wind, dust and smoke. It helps eliminate further injury or dryness caused by environmental exposure. This ointment is useful for people with prolonged screen use or contact lens discomfort.
   
• Post-Surgical Eye Care: Cornigel Eye Ointment might be recommended after eye surgeries. It helps reduce discomfort, dryness and irritation during the recovery phase. This ointment helps maintain eye moisture to support healing and eliminate complications.
   
• Smooth Lubrication: Lanolin helps retain water on the eye surface, keeping it hydrated, while mineral oil provides smooth lubrication, reducing friction and relieving dryness. White soft paraffin forms a protective barrier that manages moisture loss and shields the eyes from irritants.

• Gently pull down the lower eyelid and direct your gaze upward. 
• Hold the tube above the eye and carefully apply a small strip of ointment, about 1 cm long, along the inner part of the lower eyelid, ensuring the tip does not touch the eye or eyelashes. 
• Close your eyes and blink a few times to help the ointment spread evenly across the surface of the eyeball.
